I have had an 3x9x50 Elite 3000 on my 7mm for 6 years now and it has performed flawlessly. I compared it to many scope (Nikon, Leupole, Burris, Redfield, etc..) and I bought it for its clarity. It' s works very well in low light.

I' ve got a couple 3200' s and one 4200. I' m very happy with them. I still have Leupolds on my primary hunting rifles, but my next purchase may be another Bushnell.

To be honest a 3200 came with a gun I bought. I' ve been buying them ever since on purpose now!!! I own 4. Not that I' m selling my Leopolds though but there' s no sense in spending the money for anything that I can' t appreciate the difference for. Also don' t forget the external fogproofing is exceptional.

almost forgot to mention that Bushnell is coming out with a new luminescent reticle on the 3200. You might want to wait a bit longer until it' s available. I read where it' s supposed to be energized for 30 seconds with a flashlight and will provide useful reticle positioning well before dawn and long after sundown. It' s a normal black reticle all day. No batteries or electronics! Pretty neat huh?

I have about a 10 year old B&L Elite 3000 4x12x40mm that isone of the worst scopes I have ever owned. It is SOOOO sensitive to changes in light conditions that it is nearly unusable in the field. I' ve sent it back to Bushnell 3 times to be fixed, each time just as bad as before. When you crank the power up on the scope it becomes very very fuzzy. I finally gave up on it and stuck in on a rifle I do not use.

I recently bought an Elite 4200 and it' s quite a different story. I am very pleased with the optical clarity and brightness of it. However, it is very large and heavy for a 1.5x6 scope that' s for sure. Also, as Woodseye has stated - the eye relief is very short when compared to say a Leupold.
