I have my Marlin 444, and win M70300 mag , rem 700 .223,allset at 2.5 lbs.

My Tikka is at 2# and my CZ with the set trigger is set at about 1.5# with the trigger set. I dont set the trigger until im ready to shoot and aimed directly on the target though.

I have mine set at 3lbs. If your Savageis new from last year you should be able to adjust it down to an acceptable weight yourself.

Thanks guys. I am thinking about the 3 lb range. It has to be preset at about 6.

2.5-3.5 pounds is my fav range. I like a light trigger. Just use your saftey and follow other gun saftey rules and you're golden.

i like mine set right around 3lb.

My $.02 ... for hunting, I prefer2.5#-3# range.
