Typically when people ask at the shop how much farther a 28" barrel will shoot compared to a 26" barrel... my answer is of course.... 2 inches :D
HEY!! Some guys would do almost anything for 2" more!

Thanks for all the info so far. Part of the reason I was asking was I have a chance to buy a used 28" 20 ga slug barrel with forearm for a pretty good price. Actually cheaper than a new 26" but I want to make sure I won't regret it later. Still undecided.

You are talking about getting a 28" Pro-Hunter SS 20ga barrel with a forearm cheaper than a 26" Blue 12ga barrel? What are you waiting for?

It's not SS, it's blued.
