Well, I just bought my first deer rifle.
After a few months of deliberation, I decided on a Browning A-Bolt Synthetic Stalker in .270 Win. I was torn over a .270 or .308. I figured that for my type of hunting and experience, a .270 was the right choice for me. I mounted a Leupold VX-2 on top.
I plan on breaking it in over spring break next week.
Thanks for everyone' s input. I really appreciate it.

Good choice! I just bought a new 280 rifle. I just went with the 280 because I already have all the reloading stuff for it. I Bought a Leupold scope as well. I decided to give them one last try. I have had three Leupold scopes and only one was any good. However everyone speaks well of them so Here to trying one last time. I have been disapointed with Leupold because when you pay three times as much for a scope you should expect a better product that those you can buy for 60.00. So far that has not been my expierence. I hope hunting with your new rifle brings you the joy that years of hunting have provided me.
