IF I were to do a lot of shooting with a .454, I'd get the ne-plus-ultra of .454's, a Freedom Arms single action. There'd be no debate about the quality of the gun, then!

My cousin has the S&W 454. Its a nice gun, good amount of weight there. Recoil isnt bad, but you dont want to shoot max loads too long out of it. When you run the .45 through it then it gets more fun.....
