BuyaBushnell Elite 3200 3-9x40; they're good scopes.

The OpticZoneis a great place to deal with and they have great prices.

By the way, I've usedBushnell Elites a lot over the years with nothing but great results.

I'm truely sorry about that.......

Source a VX-1 3X9for $220ish, or less for a use one, send it to the Custom Shop for turrets installed, and reap thefull potential of the .243........

It's all he'll ever need for a long time, except maybe a good rifle.

That iskind ofa rough post to give when the guy is just asking adviceto improvehis kids newly purchased gun, don't you think.

Good Gear sells itself, or so I've heard....

Disposable income IS a sumbitch at times ya know, when forced into such things as a Bushnell purchase to win a beer.

I believe the bet was, "Dude, betcha a beer you won't go across the street and buy a Bushnell anything."

We don't get to town much, but when we do anything is liable to happen.

The bottle of Crown I won destroying the POSwent downright good as I remember.......

I'm only interested in results and I've never had a Leupy break, fog, lose zero,or bought a used one in need of fixin', nor spent a fortune to obtain one...refer back to the Good Gear comment.

I have tho' a bunch over the years that took a hard lick with little more than the battle scar to prove it.......

Gags...

Maybe I tend to spoil my kids and thusly bias towards not letting them suffer with junk gear...

Not sayin' they've never dealt with hand me downs from the left over drawer, but I certainly could see my way to scorin' a good rifle outta the gate....at a minimum.

For a smaller rifle, you may want to consider the Burris Short Mag Scope in 2-7x or 3-9x. And the ballistic plex reticle.

Head...

Your astuteness to quality glass is simply amazing.....

Have always sent off a friction adjustment scope to the Custom Shop and recieved back click adjustment turretsin the upgrade.

Are you saying when you send a scope to Leupold to have target turrets installed that they also go into theinternal part of the scope and change out the friction adjustment elevator???, Tom.

I have a H&R in a .243 bull barrel and I decided to try a Nikon Pro staff on it and I have been amazed by how good of scope it has been for the money.I also have monarchs and buck masters with no complaints,They have always held POI and no failures.
