yeah i know. i have pretty much decided im getting a .22 mag maybe savage or marlin(tube fed is fine with bolt) then ill get a semi auto .22 lt (marlin model 60 or ruger 10/22) no idea what ill get first
if i get the marlin wouldnt it be better to get it now because remington is buying marlin and there guns will be bad?

There are at least two really fine semi-auto .22s available.
One is a Marlin M-60 and the other is a Ruger 10-22.
For a .22 LR shooter I'd suggest a semi auto.....

Me and my brother both have Marlin 39A Lever's w/ corresponding serial numbers and these are the most accurate out of the box .22's I have ever shot!! The quality is bar none!! They aren't real cheap but will last a life time! My best shot was a 92 yard head shot on a groundhog with mine!

I honestly believe that a bolt action will make you a better shot. The reason why is that with a bolt action-you KNOW you have only 1 shot, then you have to reload. That in itself will make you wait until you have the PERFECT shot before you shoot. Whereas with a semiauto, you will tend to shoot before you have the perfect shot a lot of times cause you know all you have to do is simply pull trigger again.
