Either one is a great choice. I love any cartridge based off of their 308 Winchester or 30-06 Springfield parent cases.

100 grain bullets in either 243 Winchester or 25-06 Remington are big (deer) game bullets. I wouldn’t call the Nosler 100 grain .257 caliber partition bullet a varmint bullet.

Look at the foot lbs for the same bullet wieghts.No contest in the power dept..........25-06 Eating a bull elk that lost two ribs and a pair of lungs at 400yards with a 120 gr handload from my son's 25-06 Bear and moose no problem....................Harold

Yes, but... at 500 yards, the .243 100gr has more energy than the .25-06 100gr...

Who in their right mind would shoot big game with either at 500 yards.Used to use 100gr for deer but found it too destructive and now use 120 Hornady HP for everything................Mute point.................Harold

I use my 243 for shoot the balls off gnats at 600 + yards.....
