One gun????!!! Your just going to leave it at that, one gun....you mean gun in general or are you talking just rifle here?.............Perhaps there is no difference to some.
Personally I would have to keep my Beretta 391 in the 12 gauge persuasion....that is if I could have one and only one gun......That way I could bird hunt and hunt big game if necessary.....
