I agree, the Remington 788, but in .308....accuracy is amazing, and no deer has ever gotten up from a shot.

I have a Weatherby .270 Mark V that I just love.

However, if I had a larger caliber to choose for larger game, and the money, I'd go with the Lazzeroni .338 Titan for long range capability and plenty of punch.

i'd go with a savage model 10gxp3 .270 . but the gun i have is like early nineties so the model may not be it

I have Two Model 70 winchesters. A .300 WSM featherweight and a .270 win. Oh and my grandfather left me a Early model Marlin 30-30 and a 7400 bushmaster remington 30-06
