RE: Need advise- handgun for wife
If you can afford the Ruger SP 101, I would go for it. You can shoot the mildest 38s all the way up to heavy 357s thru it. I've had one for several years and really like it because of this. It's not that fun to shoot with 357s because of the heavy recoil. It is great with every type of 38s. Plus it is a pocket (or purse) revolver. I would recommend an action job because of the heavy trigger.
You could always go with one of the cheaper Taurus 38s. |
RE: Need advise- handgun for wife
I think the best thing would be to fine a gun shop that has a large inventory of handguns. Your wife will know better than anyone which gun fits her the best.I did this with my daughter and she ended up with a taurus revolver in 22 magnum that holds 8 rounds.Ammo is cheap so she practices a lot. She has my grandaughter shooting it also.

I like Ruger for six shooters and hunt with the super redhawk .44 mag. (10" barrel)
How about a .25 or .32 |
