I picked up a 700 SPS no dm in 2506rem last year for the yougsters in my family. Out of the box a fine shooter, afterI touched up the trigger a great shooter. The stock is no worse then comparable models from other manufacturer's IMO, it handles well and hasn't caused me any problems. All in all I am really satisfied with it and would buy another.

I have had several 700's and always been pleased. Fit and feel is very imprtant the 700's just work for me so they are my preference in this regard. I suggest you shoulder and handle them to find how they work for you. Good Luck
