As much of a fan of the .338 as I am, you are required min of .375 for much of Africa's game so:

I have lived 33 years with out actually "hunting" prarie dogs, coyotes, ground hogs, etc... soI can probably go another 30 or 40 years.

In light of that I would choose......

.338 RUM and 458 Lott.

The only drawback to most people owning a Blaser is that you can buy numerous Savages for what one Blaser will cost.

Well I'm thinking 3rd dimensionally,f I pick the same cals as everyone else, cases would be of short commodity:D
IO'm going with 6.5x.284 and 3006......
Nobody would ever think of picking the 06:eek::D......

Ruger #1 and another Ruger #1. Those would be my two rifles as asked about. :D

I'm guessing it was the chamberings that one was more interested in knowing though but i did answer the question asked. :D

The above two rifles would be chambered for the .22-250 and the .458 Win mag. Would be tempted to choose the .300 H&H or even the .375 H&H over the .458 but I'd want that extra if so needed. Load 'em with BP or a substitute and it's great for North American game.

Question was for 2 rifles.....and assumed to mean 1 rifle, 1 barrel.
