If you were to buy a new Remington short action ultra mag would you get the 7MM or 300? ,Also would you get the model 7 or model 700?

Neither, in looking into a new rifle last year i didn't like the lack of ammo or information available on the short mags. I also saw no reason or real benefit to take one over the standard round(all the ballistic info was said to be inflated and really proved no improvements over the standards). I ended up getting a 7 mag in 700 BDL. I have plenty of gun and my pick in both price and bullet offerings. I guess I was a little leary of it being a fad and ending up being even harder to find ammo in the future. All though since then the 300WSM has introduced more offering and the 7 SAUM seems to be the ones that would make more sense. I still would stick with the standard mag or if I felt needed more the ultra or 7 STW.
