i am thinking about buying a new deer/antelope rifle. was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on whether to buy a 25-06 or a 25 wssm?

I have the 25WSSM. If I had to do it over, I would probably get the 25-06.

25-06. The 25 WSSM is dieing very quickly.

The only thing keeping the 25WSSM alive is the AR platform.

Think all the WSSM are dying quickly, only one to make any sense was the .25 wssm I though, the 243 win and .223 are already short, so basically this gives you a 25-06 in a shorter cartrdige, though not really needed, none of these were needed, def get a .25-06, same ballistically anyway.

get a .270 WSM if you want something new/short/good. .270 wsm is said to be staying around, the .300 wsm certainly is here to stay.

If your stuck on the 25 Caliber why not consider the 257 Roberts..

It will be easier to get 25-06 brass but the25 WSSM and itare pretty much interchangeable. There are some deals out there on 25 WSSM rifles and the brass should be around for some time..Just buy up 200 cases or more and your set for awhile . I like the old boring 25-06 a lot a whole lot as a matter of fact.
