I suppose that means you are not planning on moving to the republic of California? Not even if Arnie asks you real nice?:D

Hey Handloader 1, turn loose a little of that moldy money. Help out the economy.;)

I have been to California twice. One time I went to that GOD forsaken place called Los Angeles. I would not go back to that place on a bet.

The other time I went to Northern California. I must admit it was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been in my life. But there must be something in the water out there. When you go down stream you end up in San Francisco. And what a pile of DUNG they have there. Tom.

I am kinds fed up with Barnes. I liked the original X bullets and bought their new manual just before the discontinued most of the X bullets. I hate to get all set up for their next batch then have them change them right away too. I have nothing against their developing new products but why drop the proven ones that they have been selling. I have pretty much gone back to the Nosler Partition. When push come to shove, its probably one of the best bullets out there. I have had good service from the pain old Hornady bullets as well. Us old guys don't like changing everything every couple years.;)

BTW I have lots of Crankbaits for sale.:D:D
I feel the same way... I've been using NP's since the 70's and i've yet to have one fail to work as advertised.

Stubble about had me talked into trying the X bullet, but then i saw Barnes doing there thing "again", and decided to buy a box of Accubonds instead. lol

Barnes use to be a bullet almost everyone could afford now they are too expensive!! [:@][:@][:@]Good luck.
In Canada I can now buy TSX bullets forless then Nosler Partitions per 50.

As far as the MRX I agree way to rich. I see no benefit to the MRXfor my situation and won't be pitching them until the price drops or something changes drastically. I understand price is indicative to some degree with the materials used, tungsten is not cheap on the retail market therefor the asking price is considerably higher.Just likea bullet madewith more or allcopper should cost more then one that use copper and lead. I am not sure how much these cost impact manufacturering but I know it is some as when you look at bullets from any company where more materials of precision metals are used they cost more then those containing more lead???

I guess I have just come to grips with "premiums" just costing more then standard bullets. However why Barnes TSX now cost less then Parts here I don't have a clue. ThoughI won't complain as the TSX shoots better and has performed flawlessly on larger then deer game. The reason why I use a "premium" bullet in the first place. For deer premiums aren't required, I use the bullet that shoots best and fits my situation.

In regards to loading info Barnes have beenaccomidatingfrom my perspective in giving free load data when I asked. I do have one of their manuals 3rd edition, which is pre TSX introduction. In factmost I have dealt with regards loading info have been good. Hornady is fantastic they send via fax or email PDF files the entire page of interest from the lastest revision of their loading manual. Nosler have a forum based website like this that you can usually find all the data without sourcing Nosler themselves. However when I have called them they have always been good to deal with and answer the question they are asked.

I dont see why theya re selling them for $48 a box of 20
In some if not all of California, bullets that contain lead cannot be used for hunting. Barnes is the biggest player in all copper bullets so they can pretty much set their price and people will pay it if they want to hunt in cali.

Nope, not illegal here...yet. There are some restrictions on lead use in countys with condors, but thats it.

As far as Barnes, I getting fed up with them too. My gun really liked the 140gr XLC's (blue coated), but of course they quit making them!! [:@][:@][:@]
