RE: Gun for 8year old
 

My kids will start with an Encore in either .44 Mag with subsonic handloads (for sound reduction) or reduced hand loaded 7mm-08 (since I already load for both). For clays I will handload lite 20 gauge. Has anyone tried the Browning little sketters to reduce barrel size (much cheaper than tubes or a second gun)? You could get a 20 gauge for deer, but still use .410 for smaller game.
