RE: Got my new Tikka...a little disappointed
diyj98 - Have you owned any Tikka with a walnut stock? I' m looking at buying my first one. I like the look of the wood, but I imagine over time the synthetic will hold up the best at least on the surface.
I' m with you about the quality and tight patterns these rifles are tested at from the factory. 1" groups at 100 yds for the price. I don' t know any other rifle at the price out of the box that is that accurate. Would just like to hear from some about wood vs. synthetic Tikkas. Thanks MinnFinn |

RE: Got my new Tikka...a little disappointed
The three Tikkas I own now are all synthetic stocked. I did have a wood stocked .223, but that' s an entire different animal. It was the one with the adjustable check piece, and target rail. I also once owned a Tikka shotgun/rifle combo that was wood stocked, but I' ve never one of the whitetail hunters with a wood stock. I' ve become a diehard synthetic stock man over the last few years.
