Seemed on the light side. I guess they are trying to fill the nitche (non-existant???) between a Tikka and a real Sako (75 IMO). Price point puts it it head to head combat with the M70 remake and the Icon I guess. I'll stick with my 75 although I'm sure this would do in a "pinch".

That is an interesting introduction. Off the top of my head the 2 length action design ,3 lug bolt design and the non protruding magazine make it veryinteresting. I wonder if it has the Sako trigger or the Tikka trigger? Funny how since Beretta took over Sako they have had many more new model intros then in the previous 20 years.

I think it has lots to do with trying to appeal to the American market...

A little more info for anyone interested... http://www.berettausa.com/media/medi...s_releases.htm ...

the website shows weaver style scope bases instead of the dovetails looks like a cost cutting measure to make it more affordable. Does anybody know what the list price will be?

Not sure if it is a cost cutting measure as much as it is making it more universal to appeal to the everyday buyer, the DT mounts are not as common to find as the Weavers.
