Default Concerns around the use of lead free bullets in older rifle barrels

Being a hunter in California there is a movement in some areas to require lead free ammunition. I have a .30-06 that was made in 1964, is there any concern with firing copper basedbullets through older rifles?

There will be no damage to your barrel shooting lead-free bullets. Copper is way softer than any steel used in a rifle barrel. And, frankly44 yearsis not that old for a rifle.
