With slugs 30-40 feet. The buck was with 6 does, and I couldn't get a clear shot till they were all that close. Believe me it's not easy to move and aim with 7 sets of eyes looking around that close. Farthest with a shotgun period was this guyhttp://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c198/Fanofde4ever/Picture.jpg at65 yards with my 870 Express and #1 buckshot.

Dang, you guys are some nasty shots. I think my longest shot with a rifle is only like 125 yards (i'm also only 23 for what its worth) and my longest shot with a slug gun is prob around 65 yards, closest was prob 10 feet.

Man, I tried sighting my shotgun in with slugs and gave up on the idea when I was hitting about a 16 inch group at 75 yards. At 50 yards it was an 8 inch group. Too risky to take a shot on a deer and take the chance of wounding it with that setup. I would love to see some of these 150-200 yard shots with a shotgun though, I know it can be done, but in my experience I have yet to see it.

Around 75 yds. I would rather use my ML during shotgun season, I wouldn't feel confident past 100 yds. with my shot gun. ML, I would shoot out to 200 yds.
