H&R Handi Rifle vs Stevens Model 200
Well i am looking at maybe getting a .243 and i am curious whether you guys think a H&R Or a Stevens 200 would be a better, more durable, more accurate, and all around better gun?
Anything would help and would love to here your opinions!

Let's see..... essentially the Savage 110 bolt action repeater versus the break open single shot.....

Ah, of the two, go with the real rifle --- Stevens 200.

When deer hunting it's rare to need a rapid follow-up shot. I'm not sure how the Stevens compares to the Savage in quality or price. I absolutely love my Savage 110. Can't beat it for the price. On the other hand, I think if there is much of a difference in price I'd go with the H&R.

My Stevens 200 in .243 groups 4 different factory loads into less than an inch at 100, and three of the four shoot into the same spot. Federal's 85 grain Sierra loadstays just over1/2". This is straight out of the factory with less than 100 rounds through it.

I think which ever one feels the best. Everything I have read on these 2 guns have been positive accept for the weight of trigger pull. This is a cheap quick fix for most gunsmiths and should cost less than $50 bucks. This means youll still be under the cost of a big name rifle. I'm in the same dilema, as I also would like to purchase a 243 in one these 2 models. Let me know what you decide on.
