I have a TC/Encore SST 300 Win Mag and its a great gun. The gun is very light once sighted in, a force to be reckoned with. The rifle is so smooth sounding that during rifle season I saw two Mature Does walking down a trail 30 yds from my stand. I shot the one in the front and other one didnt even know what was going on so I was able toreload and shoot the other one. Great Gun!

The Encore is my go to gun these days; own three. Two .50cal ML and a selection of rifle barrels that includes (.223, .270, 30-06, .405). All shoot great. The gun fits and handles great; it's compact and the wieght is reasonable. I love the versatility. Besides, I've been a long time ONE SHOT, ONE KILL hunter, so the Encore fits the bill nicely for me.

I have 3 now and have owned several more in the past. They are fine guns but are WAY overpriced for a plain jane single shot. From my experience, a NEF is not as "refined" but just as accurate.

I had a TC Encore for a while. The thing about that rifle I like the least was when shooting at the range, having to reset the rifle after every shot. Allot more of a hassle then a bolt action...

I have to agree with these guys!
My 209X50 is an amazing gun! No problem taking a deer at 200 yards. I've got a few other barrels since and I've never been dissapointed with any of them.
I believe you'll feel the same way about yours.
Good luck!
