I looked on line for you and there is a LOT of bad press about these pistols. If you've got one, you would probably be best served by getting rid of it rather than trying to clean it. I shot one a few clips full a few years back and it shot OK but that's not much of a testimonial. They aren't made anymore and if it's broken, you've got a problem. If all you want to do is clean it, I'd unload it, remove the clip, spray it out good with WD40, wipe or blow dry with air hose and call it good.
Guns like this created the legend of the "Saturday Night Specials" that good firearms mfgs have to try to live down today. Sorry I can't be more positive.

When you pull the slide back there is a small black piece of plastic hold that in and release the slide. It should then slide all the way off. I got rid of mine like 4 years ago when It fired with the saftey on when I was trying to clear the chamber of the last round.

I have been shot at twice with Jennings pistols, both jammed at an "awkward" moment. The second guy racked his slide to clear it and it went off when the next round chambered. Made a nice hole in his leg. Get rid of it, they aren't safe.
