Default ADL vs. BDL Question

A buddy of mine is looking at trading for a Remington ADL. As far as I know there is no mechanical difference between the ADL and BDL. The only thing different between the two is the drop plate. Am I correct or am I giving him bad information?? thanks.

I think you are correct and I believe there is a difference in the stocks.

Here is the picture of the gun. My first thought is an ADL, but the wood is throwing me off a little. I know that in the later years ADLs were synthetic and now they replaced them with the SPS, which is synthetic. What do yall think?

Basically the same gun with a floor plate and fancier stock!
