I want to get a new gun.. Something thats overkill for deer but a good big game gun. I was thinking of a 7mm. Anyone have suggestions or comments. I want to get the remington700 cdl SF. SHarp looking gun

Hard to go wrong with the 7mm Rem Mag

Well theres always the 7mm or 300 Ultra Mags.They are slightly overkill for deer and alot of fun to shoot.

You are thinking of the 7mm. It fits the description of your wants/needs perfectly. Many people have them, many people like them.

The 7mm would be great or you could look at a 300 win. mag. or wsm.

Not sure if it makes in a cdl, but how about a 35 whelen or 350 rem

7mm rem mag good choice. Umags are fun, weatherbys great. Can't afford to shoot them.

I had the same "magnumitus" once! I bought the 7MM RM and I do love it! Its accurate, powerful, flat shooting and recoil is very manageable too! But after getting over "magnumitus," I'm going down to the .243!. Its almost as flat shooting as the 7MM RM, and no Whitetail gets killed any deader! But........ one can never have too many guns!
