RE: Lucky,a great shot,or B.S.?
Yeah, right. 1/2" @ 200 yards, means 1/4" @100 yds. Essentially one hole. Doubt it. Next thing he'll claim is that it was a Ruger with Core-loks.

RE: Lucky,a great shot,or B.S.?
ORIGINAL: driftrider I measure mine center to center, but I don't guess at the center. Just measure the largest outside span to the edge of the holes, then subtract bullet diameter. That's how BR competitors groups are measures, usually with a micrometer! [8D] Otherwise, even a perfect one hole group from a .308 would still, by your method, measure .308" minimum. You're cheating yourself the way you measure. A micrometer? Seriously?:D If Lewis (xpatriot) says he can't do it, I don't think it can be done. Dude's a friggin' mutant.:) |
RE: Lucky,a great shot,or B.S.?
I shot 2 touching the other day at 150 yards with my buddies 700 in 7rum.The 3rd was pulled about 2 inches :DI was shooting from a caldwell lead sled and that thing is still a beast .And recoill usually does not bother me.
.5 at 200 maybe once in a while if everything is right .I don'twant to call B.S.ButI got to see this I have been around some pretty damn strong shooters. That would be tough with one gun let alone 3 different ones. |

RE: Lucky,a great shot,or B.S.?
I dont think he can do it with 3 rifles maybe one I cant say. I made a statment on how one of my guns shot and got the same flak this guy is getting I was called out on it to prove it the bet was $500.00 and a plane ticket to where the guy lives. If I lost I would pay for the ticket and he would get the $500.00. I got the $500.00 and have not seen him on here again I wont say he cant but I would have to see it for myself

RE: Lucky,a great shot,or B.S.?
Everybodies rifles are capable of shooting 1/4 moa groups out to at least 1000 yards- on the internet

RE: Lucky,a great shot,or B.S.?
I remember a few years back when Browning put the BOSS system on thier A Bolts having a contest to see who shot the best. The finals contestants used an International type target system that had a blank piece of paper behind the target that moved after each shot to make sure the required shots where taken.
Could someone have 3 factory rifles capable of 1/2 @ 200 yards? Dang sure they can. To do it all the time all it would take is dedication and discipline. To shoot like that is work. It takes the proper mindset before settling into the gun and squeezing the trigger. It's the same mindset that make some shooters capable of a 90 or better in sporting clays or 100 straights in trap and skeet all the time. |

It also would require a person lucky enough to buy three factory rifles capable of sub 1/2" groups at 200 yards. No matter how good the shooter is,without the equipment,it can't be done. If all 3 of his weatherby rifles can generate sub 1/2 groups at 200 yards he immediately has to fly to Las Vegas and clean out the town. BS meter is off the wall on this one. |
