Model 1886 Winchester in 45-70. 0-200 yards-no problem. Over 200 IMO the minimum is 30-06. Faster magnum's are better.

How can some of you guy's rate the 30-06 good to 200, then rate a lighter cartridge and bullet better past 200?? Tom.

Anything that will work at 350 will work at 70, so you may as well just use what works at 350 and be prepared for anything out to 350...

A CZ 500 American in a 6.5x55 sewd or in the .260 rem. for the last 2 listed.But for the 0-70 in thick woods thing ur going to want to have some thing that can kill them really no matter where you hit them and thats can plow through some haevy brush. In that case the .300 win. mag.

Nothing legal to hunt with, plows through heavy brush!
