i know a guy that has a 37 win 410 he loves it but i do not wont to pay 250 dollar or morefor a 1937 gun that is a single shot

ok true, but with the H&R you dont i spent 260 for two guns, a turkey gun that doubles a normal shotgun, and a rifled barrle.

by the way i was lucky and had my mod 37 as a handme down so i didnt have to pay for it;)and i think my grandfather paid like 15-20 bucks for it maybe less, i am not sure though.

It all depends what Make the shotgun is. Like has been mentioned, some older models and imported models have Damascus barrels. I have a Spanish single shot .410 that my grandfather brought from Spain in 1910 and it has a Damascus barrel. I have a Winchester Model 12 20ga that my father bought in the1930's that I shoot once in awhile and still shoots great. I have a 1965FNBrowning A-5 that my wife-to-be gave me for Christmas in 1966, etc., etc., etc.,..........

As long as it doesn't have a Damascus barrel and the shotgun is safe to shoot, don't worry about the age!:)
