Depends on the gun, depends on bullet. How far do plan on shooting? What are you shooting at? Some more specifics on what you plan to do with it would be helpful.

This is an extremely vague post. The 300 Win Mag is a great cartridge. With the right loads and a good rest it is more than capable of taking larger game like elk moose, etc at ranges farther than most hunters should shoot. A person with an accurate300 win mag has no reason to trade it in for a 300 WSM or other rifle.
