First shotgun
I am looking for a 20 gauge pump shotgun for everything hunting(deer,squirrel,bird,turky,etc.). I'm looking at the remington model 870 or a mossberg. I was wondering if any of you guys have had good or bad luck hunting with these guns. and if not, any other good 20 gauge shotguns?

I have no idea why some people insist on dumping on Mossberg. Yes they are cheaper and not as shiny, but they will shoot just as good or better than a Remington any day of the week.

I owned a Mossberg, then after I owned it I realized why I still hunt with Remingtons. I guess thats why I own 6 different type/caliber Remington 870's.
If you can afford the extra 50 bucks or so, go with the Remington. Much better gun. Lighter too.

I currently have a Mossberg 500 AT and a Mossberg 835 UltiMag. I use them for everything from squirrels to deer....never had a problem with either one of them. I use one as a backup for the other but have never had to use the backup. Mossbergs may not look all that pretty but THEY WORK and won't break you wallet.
