Default RE: Gun safes

I've had aLibertysafe for quite a fewyears and like it a lot. I got in on sale for $750. The store I bought it from, Shipton's Big R in Billings MT, loaded it on my truck and at that point I was responsible for shipping. It took 6 of us to get it the 10 feet from thetruck bed to insidethe house, and we had to remove the front steps and the front door to do it.

That said, its great to have a safe - and not just for guns by any means.

Also, I would disagree about sneaking your guns around. In my small town, I wanted the most number of people possible to know that I had my valuables in a secure safe. This makes it unlikely the thief with an easy mark in mind (we don't have pro thiefs around here yet, thankgod), will mess with me. Actually we don't have many amateur thiefs either, but a safe is good for piece of mind, especially with young family members around.

Also a great place to store important papers.
