You are too high on the ruger .44 deerfield. If it is a deerfield,it has hardwood stock instead of walnut.

Stalkingbear, you are right about the stock. It is hardwood stock and it is a Deerfield 44mag carbine. As far as the price is concerned, that is below wholesale and there is one on GA for $795.
