I own a Savage 516 Striker in 7mm-08. I like the gun all right and it shoots a pretty good group. Got the gun a year ago in the summer. Had a hard time finding scope mounts for it. Ended up with Weavers with double extended rings. Don't care much for weaver mounts,so does any one know of other mounts that will work.

I put the Leupold bases and rings on my .243 Striker mounting the Burris LER 3X9. Your right they are great shooters. After the new trigger and handloads it will shoot sub .4&quot; when I have it together.

Thanks Rem222 & Yaninark for the information. I don't think I have the problem solved yet, my 516 is in ss. I have a 1.25x4x28 Tasco World Class pistol scope in silver. It only has about 23/4 to 3&quot; to mount the rings. I looked in Midways and Cabelas cat. They show Signature rings in silver only in std. but no extensions. Leupold and Redfeild with ring ext. in blue and matte only. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Zeak
