Default Glock 20 -29

Anyone shot or have experience these big boys? 10MM is huge in a handgun, seems like way too much gun for a subcompact like the 29 model.

No, my 23 is a .40. I believe that is Uncle Ted's choice.

I have shot both and owned a g30 sub in .45 acp. even with heavy duty corbon( hitting way harder than a 10mm) it was very comfy to shoot. I would go for the 20 5 more shots. if you go sub compact Id check out a g30 corbon has a 165 gr jhp that hits with 576 ft lbs. better then a 10mm and more ammo choices and cheaper. Just my opinion.

I own a Glock 20 and shoot it quite frequently. I really enjoy itand it's not too much gun. The 10mm has gotten an undeserved reputation for having monstrous recoil. It's simply not true, especially in the Glock. It has a large grip and the polymer frame really help reduce recoil. I've had .40's that recoiled harder, and I use full power 10mm loads.

If you do get one, check out http://www.doubletapammo.com. They have full power 10mm loads. Everything fom 135's at 1600 fps and 767 ft./lb. to 230 grain hardcast. My current fave's are the 165 grain Gold Dots at 1400 fps and 718 ft./lb. for self defense andthe 200 grain XTP's and FMJ'sat 1250 and 1275 fps, respectively, for woodscarry.

I haven't shot the G29, but I have held one and it's not much smaller than the 20 and the 20 is a pleasure to shoot.

I'm a fan of the Glock 20. If you want a 10mm priced under $600 this is it. I've concluded that you must reload or buy DoubleTap ammo to get the true ballistics that this round was designed for.

I picked up a Glock 29 in a trade in the 40 S&W and traded it off again the next day. It was the mini version and it just didnt fit my hand and I really didnt like all that recoil in such a small package. It just wasnt for me.
