I have a gamo 1000 which is a great gun, but there's a problem, the barrel is loose from the reciever causing my scope to be innaccurate. Ive already tried tightening the screw that the barrel rotates on when you load it. Does anybody have a break action springer with this problem? If you do, can you get a scope to work on it? Is there a way to tighten the barrel?

I have the exact same problem with a springer 1000, but I don't remember if it is the gamo or a daisy. Anyway, loctite the screw with either loctite blue or red and give it a tighten. It has been working well for me now. I've taken a rabbit in my yard at 100yds with it. Loctite the scope mount screws too, the scope mount takes a beating on springers.

I don't wanna hijack this thread but has anyone had one hitting severely low? I can't get a scope to go high enough to hit my target with my Shadow 1000[>:]used to work just fine. I've had a few thousand rounds through it, something must've gone down the tubes

I'm sure you have already, but check the face of the barrel breach. It sounds like the barrel isn't fully coming up and latching in place after cocking. There may be a little piece of lead or other goop holding the barrel out, thus the muzzle down.
