I voted 270 which I have killed most of my deer with, but I "prefer" 30-30.

I shoot more rounds of that per year than any other.

Personal Favorite: .338 Lapua Mag.

I picked the .308. It is just about a do it all cartridge. But a very close 2nd is the 7mm-08. I use them both, along with others every deer season, and I really like several, but the .308 is a tack driver, and is an inherently accurate round. But no matter what, .... dead is dead, and everyone has an opinion that for them is valid.

Tough choice without a little more definition... Favorite Cartridge, for what? Deer, Model 700 .243. Rabbits, Ruger 10-22 .22. Elk, Model 700.30-06. Long range targets, M1A .308. Invading forces, AR15 .223. Tight quarters room clearing, ParaOrdnance P14 .45ACP....
