Default Stock/Barrel Combination

Wondering what the thoughts are regarding the different stock and barrel options. If you were making your choice, would you go for the natural wood/blued steel, natural wood/stainless, or synthetic/stainless and why?

My current rifle is natural wood/blued steel, and while attractive I'm certain I'll ding it up at some point. Sort of like your car, you dread that first door ding, but it doesn't affect the handling.

Synthetic stock. Stainless barrel. Period. No excuses if you miss a perfect shot, and no excuses for hunting the roughest country.

Well to me, it depends one what I want the rifle for. For hunting and tactical shooting. I like the synthetic stock with blued barrel. For a "looks" gun I might get a wood stock and stainless barrel.

Not right or wrong, just what "I" like.

Stainless is more rust resistant and the synthetics are more stable than wood so I will only use stainess synthetic.
