I LOVE THE LIGHT MAG LOADS BUT, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THE SST FOR DEER. MY WIFE HIT A YOTE QUARTERING TO HER AT ABOUT 85YDS CLIPPED THE BACK OF THE SHOULDER BLADE AND YOU COULD PUT A FOOTBALL IN THE EXIT HOLE. STICK WITH THE LIGHT MAGNUMS. SST'S ARE EXPLOSIVE IF YOU DON'T GET 'EM RIGHT BEHIND THE SHOULDER.

I like premium bullets. However, I've found no problems with the plain-jane Core-lokt's out of my 270 for deer. The damage isn't bad...expansion is good...and they group well. Not to mention they're readily available and cheap. JMHO
