RE: Ruger All-Weather

camp_13 the Ruger M-77 "All Weather is a fine rifle.I have one I use every hunting trip.I did have a friend do a trigger job which did improve on it.Mine is a 7mm Rem Mag plus I have others in different calibers. For the money you can't beat the Ruger M-77.The new synthetic stocks are allot nicer then the old "Zytel" ugly stock but they still serve their purpose.I highly recommend the M-77 "All Weather"

Is the Ruger All Weather rifle the one with a laminated stock or a synthetic stock?

Our local Wal-mart has the synthetic stock stainless models (270 and 30-06) on closeout for $325 plus tax. This includes rings. Might be wise for me to pick one up.

Portage, The "All Weather" is the stainless w/ the black synthetic stock. If you go to Ruger's site it shows a Laminated stock w/ the stainless as the "All Weather". Then if you go to the different models available it shows the Blk Syn as the "All Weather and just lists the laminated stock not saying anything about being the "All Weather".Either way they are nice rifles. If you can get one for 325.00 you better grab it.MSRP is around 675.00.I've seen some for around 450.00 NIB.

No mine has a 22 in barrel and shoots really good, have taken deer with the 100 gr,125gr,140gr,handloaded,the 125 and 140 factory loads. After I got the trigger to 3 lbs it probably is my favorite rifle.

I bought mine the first year the 260 came out,the reason it was so cheap, didn't know where I would like the stock or not,but I found out I love it now.I gave $319.00 for it went to a gun show the same weekend and found them for $310,I wish now I had have bought one in a different cal to go with it.
Bought a hogue stock, bedded the action and it shot worse than the factory stock,so mine has the factory ugly stock on it.
This is the gun I use when I hunt the mtn section of the state, took a lot of deer with it since.
