RE: Weatherby rifle question????

That's a nice cartridge, bigger than the .243 and I think the .25-06 and the .25 WSSM.

It's pretty popular for hunting plains game in Africa due to it's high velocities, so it would serve you well anytime you end up going on a Pronghorn or Mule Deer hunt.

It would work great on Whitetail at normal ranges for sure as well.

It is very important that you practise with the rifle as much as you possibly can, so I would also suggest handloading if you haven't already taken it up.

Good advice!! I am beginning to hand load as we speak, and your right, although weatherby makes good ammo at 2$ for every pull of the trigger it can add up fast!!!

Not to mention that since there are relatively few choices with regards to bullets with factory ammo, handloading will open up many new options with that rifle. Some rifles don't shoot factory ammo all that well (my beloved 7-08 Encore is a good example). Won't shoot factory stuff under 1.5", even after I put the oversized pin in it. My handloads get it down around .5". Thank God I handload!
