RE: Reccomendations for an AR-15/10
I have personally gotten my hands on two, and they were 30-06, not .308 Win.
Perhaps Springfieldmakes both? |
RE: Reccomendations for an AR-15/10
Youngguns you may want to read Springfields own website.
http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=35 http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=29 SOCOM's are .308Win. That is from Springfield Armory website directly. |
RE: Reccomendations for an AR-15/10
Perhaps that's what the website said, but I am saying again, I saw and personnalyhandled two SOCOM's and they were 30-06 Springfield.
I read the barrel and tag, and it was definately a SOCOM. Perhaps they were both custom shop items? Or they mayhave been re-barreled and somehow had the chamber switched to long-action, yet I seriously doubt all that trouble would be put into a rifle. I saw both of these in two different places, one at afirearm show and the other at my localfirearmsdealer. |
