Default stupid MOVIE GUN question.

Any body know the makes the50 BMG that Mark Walberg used to shoot the Dinymoore beef stew can in the movie Shooter? It's very important my kids need to know for home security, so they can shoot the bad guys.

I thank you, althought I qualify to buy one of the military versions I never wouldbecause it's not a 50BMG, and because they won't sell the full version to the public. Doesn't mean I won't cut three out of 2x12 for the kids though, I like the McMillian anyway.

IIRC its Cheyenne Tactical M200 .408 Cheytac. Unfortunatly the rifle manufacturer has a low opinion of civilian shooters and the 2nd ammendment, andonly sells a 'derated' less accurate/capable version on the private market.
Yep, Chey Tac. I saw their "we'll sell you an out of spec version for the same money" nonsense on their website I lost all respect for them. Barrett will take your money. So get a .50 and enjoy it.
