Another Sight In Question?

I zeroed my Savage 93 17HMR at 3 inches high at 100 yards(obviously to high).[:@] I went out today and, and guess what, I was shooting high at every dog. After I figuredhow much to aim low,I started smoking 'em(my buddy and I killed well over 100).
My question is...How do you prarie dog hunters set your zero, dead on at 100, 1 inch high at 100, or more? I'm just interested in how those of you moreexperienced than me at prarie dog hunting zero your 17 HMR's.
Thanks Bryan

I think it's easier to just give some hold over when they're farther off so I'd sight in for 100 dead on. you'll be fine at least that far and when you get some shots out to 150yds just aim at the top of their head or so

Yep! Dead on @ 100 and hold high or low when you have to.

Yeah, I wasn't really thinking of the ballistics of the .17 HMR. If you're dead on @ 100 then you shouldn't have to hold low at all for body shots. If you're shooting eyeballs, then that's another story.

How many yards are you being successful with your 17HMR? I did good today out to about 125 yards. Just guessing, I left the range finder in the truck. Are you guyshaving more luck withthe 17grain or the 20grain? Thanks for all the info!
