Swamp - Thanks for all the advice. I'm a closer to the bore kinda scope guy as well. On this rig I have been thinking about throwing a 50mm on it just to try one. I have a good one piece base and some good rings as well.

I think I already have enough room with my current setup to run a 50mm scope if I decide on that.

Fear not-I am here to give you the bad news that your barrel is unsafe and I am willing to dispose of it free of charge for you. I will dispose of it right beside the 7mm08 handgun barrel I already have.

Good looking gun you got there. Seems like a perfect caliber for that model too (for some reason). Sorry to say, but i would trade/sell that silver scope you mentioned and get soemthing decent in black. I've always just thought that silver scopes are ugly on guns...not to mention kinda bright in many huntin situation. Just me.
