My uncle has a Taurus 24/7. He also has a Springfield XD, Glock and several 1911's among others. He has nothing but positive to say about the 24/7 and compares it favorably to his Springfield and Glock. He is the most knowledgeable person I know regarding firearms and I trust his unbiased opinion tremendously.

THe 24/7 won some kind of best gun of the year award a couple years in a row I think, I have never shot one, but have heard they area great gun. I am actually considering buying one myself, but I have no money, so it won't be happening any time soon.

I have the Millennium Pro in 45 acp which is a sub compact 45 acp version of it. I absolutely love it, alot of my friends say the trigger is awful but IMO I think its the smoothest DAO trigger available. but lucky for you they now offer these guns in DAO and DA/SA. I also have a XD which IMO they are both deffinately comparable I actually feel is some regards that the taurus is actually better quality when comparing fit and finish. I sometimes regret getting the XD and wish I got a 24/7 instead. I'm actually thinking about getting the 24/7 anyway never can have toomany guns lol. If you decide to get it I can honestly say you wont regret it.
