I view the pistol more of asecondary, backup, or undercoverdefensive weapon. I wouldalways prefer to have arifle over a handgun, when possible, in a tacticalsituation with possible multiple targets at varying distances in varying terrain. If someone's close enough to use a pistol, he's too close, especially in a situation like Katrina, for instance.

at my apartment at school and in my vehicle: my new smith & wesson sw9ve in 9mm is within reach at all times. I also keep a couple of 30 rounders loaded up for my mini-14 in the closet should it come to that.

at home: my remington 870 in 12g with a tactical light and night sights. i also keep my browning buckmark 22 handy just in case. it might get replaced by the s&w soon. my mother doesn't like it, though. she's scared of handguns.

My CW is a Kahr 9mm or my 40,my back up in the trk is a Kel-Tec PLR-16 with 4 30 round clips(1 in 3 for standby)and in homea Bushmaster XM-15 A2S also with 4 30 round clips 1 in 3 on standby...These 4 are my 1st round of protection....................
