The vanguard is made by Howa in Japan. It is a very good value for the money.A much better value than the overpriced Mark V.

Vanguards are fine and usually quite accurate... if you do your part. It will get the job done! Good luck on your purchase.

Weatherbys are very good rifles. The Vangards are a little on the heavy side but with the larger caliber you might apreciate the weight when your at the range. I dont know if it is asub-moa guarantee rifle or not but they are always accurate rifles.

That would be a great mose gun. The vanguards only have a 24 inch barrel though so a little speed may be lost but not much. maybe most 338's are 24 inch any way.I am getting avanguard in270wsm.

I have a Weatherby Vanguard in .300 WBY Magnum and am very happy with it. Recoil is actually more manageable than it is formy Rem 700 BDL in 7 mm Rem Magnum.

I didnt mean the Weatherby rifles in general. I was asking about the specific one he is looking at. They take the sub-moa Vangards and sell them for more money.
