Is the skin on animals getting thicker or the bones getting harder. Every year they seem to keep re-inventing the wheel with these new super bullets. I thought the barnes were over kill.

Its nice to have choice as a reloader but how much weight retention do we need. You'd think whitetails and elk start wearing bullet proof vests.

I will look forward to trying them out. Things just keep getting better in the bullet world. New advances in bullets has equalized the different calibers a lot.

What! An "X" bullet with a polycarbonate tip stuck in the hollowpoint?

I guess it, along with the other monolithic bullets, will meet the "no lead" requirement of jurisdictions like CA. But what about us muzzleloader guys who use old-timey guns? Are they going to make soft copper balls? Bismuth balls? Hmmmmmm.....

No No No...... These are for the places that are going to "outlaw lead bullets" and bullets that contain lead --another way to strike at gun owners. Places like the Kingdom of Kalyfornia...

Looks to me like the big advantage is it will expand some at low velocity and lots at higher velocity. The "competition" does not expand hardly at all at low velocity (like at long range when the bullet has slowed down a lot)

I'd like to see a similar series of pics of several differnt types and stiles of bullets. (like the "old fasion" partition)

Thanks, Eldeguello.... I'm glad I wasn't the ONLY one who noticed that...;)....

I'm not criticizing....I've always liked ballistic tips, and a couple of my rifles favor TSX bullets...I may givethe new noslerbullets a try...

Once all of the lead bullets are out of circulation, its only a matter of time before 'cop killer' solid copper or solid copper alloy bullets will be banned.[:@]

Or smart kill.. Barnes coupled with a reasonable caliber like 270 can be a nice balance... Good weight retention will reduce the amount of powder needed behind the copper..
