Default Marlin Ported Barrels

Greetings:

I haven't been in the market for a brush gun in quite some time, but have recently found some hunting grounds where one will certainly be helpful. My question is, does Marlin port all their 45-70 guns? I'm not recoil sensitiveand value my hearing enough to avoid such guns. Their catalog doesn't mention them having them (although many reviews I read seem to say they do), and the pictures seem to back this, but I'd like to hear from someone who knows for sure. Thank You.

Default RE: Marlin Ported Barrels

They were making them with ported barrels though the new ones have a standard non-ported barrel.
